Reflection/Evaluation

this week i have finished the whole movie with all new effects and all new timing for the scenes. the project is due in a week and now i am up to my music and right now i find it really hard. finding the right music for the right scene is a nightmare to me at the moment. knowing that i cant use real music by an artist, that i have to make my own is really frustrating. i still need my group to record some voices over some scenes and also have to link all the music from garage band to fit it in the movie. my plan is to list all the music that will suit the movie and puzzle it all up.

my to do lists:

2. list all the music from garage band that will be used in my movie
3. finalize the whole movie.

evaluation/reflection

this week, i have finished everything and have exported to Quick Time. i am not satisfied with what i have done. the effects had all been rightly placed but, the colouring of the movie just ruined it. the way i had brightened the whole movie just killed it. it looks as if its a pirated movie with the bad quality. now that we are starting the sounds i haven't got much time to perfected it again. i have to work double the amount everyone is doing as i have to do the brightness and the flashback colouring all over again. this week i have learnt that rushing things will only result on how much effort you have put in. which at this point not so good.

reflection/Evaluation

now that i have finished my movie i am finishing with the edits. i am still not used to using the effects and i still don't know what most them are. i am still at the stage of experimenting and the usual trial and error. using the effects are actually really fun, but also frustrating at the same time as making the scenes 'work' with the effect is a hard thing to do. this week i have learnt that making a movie and then perfecting it is a hard thing to do. i have also learnt that to actually use the effects you have to know what each effects are if you don't want to waste time.

reflection/evaluation

i am almost done with all the cut and paste of the movie. the feeling of knowing that i am almost done made me more motivated this week. i have focused a lot on the assignment more than i have ever been. knowing that after this i get to put in the effects had made me really excited. in class today, Mr. Andrews had told us to save our work in different names just incase it gets corrupted and with that i have saved it in three drifferent names. this week, i have been more organised and less stressful than the other days.

reflection/evaluation

i have finally finished puting in all the scenes that i have wanted to use. now i am in the process of cutting and putting the pieces together. Putting the movies in together made me feel as if i was doing a puzzle without the help of the picture on the cover. it is making me go crazy and also making me fustrated as i have nooo idea what i am doing. i still have my EDL to do and also after this to include in the effects and after the sound. i am hoping that i will get everything done by the due date. this experience had help me to realise that keeping my time organised can be really helpful.

Evaluation/Reflection

having to finish the movie was hard enough as i had lost few lessons because my USB broke, and now having to finish my whole movie including the effects had got me stressed out. i had to learn a lot in a short amount of time and then having to actually use the knowledge into action was harder. i borrowed out the laptop a few times and still i have not yet finished my movie. i am learning a lot from trial and error and also experimenting with the effects. i had found out that making a movie was really hard, time consuming and really stressful.

Music

listen and describe how it makes you feel;
it made me feel uncomfortable as if something terrible or a fight is going on and also at the end as if i had discover something unusual which would lead me to something unpleasant in the future.
describe the type of the music you think it belongs to;
this music can belong to sci-fi, adventure and fantasy such as Alice in wonderland.

describe the volume and pace take note of changes in the music;
the sound is very small at the start but it gets louder and louder but towards the end it gets smaller again. it is very tense, as if an adventure/fighting scene tense. the music can also be in a movie where the scene is in a confusing situation such as when something bad is going to happen.

make a note of any particular instruments or sounds used in the music which stands out;
you can hear the brass clearly and also the percussion, in some cases the strings are present but it is mostly the brass or percussion, some woodwind instruments are also present. you can also hear piano and few sound effects made by computers.
